The Members of the Friendly Society are to take notice, that on the 1st of April last a fire happened in Port-Court, which burnt down one house insured by the Friendly Society; and several houses at that and other times and places being damnified, the whole loss is 516 l. 5 s., and the rate is 1 d. 3 q. per cent. for brick, and double for timber-houses, which is to be paid at the place of insurance in Palsgrave Court without Temple-Bar before the 18th of June next.
Editorial note: Normalized conservatively from a damaged fire-insurance assessment notice. Mapped conservatively to the Temple Bar / Palsgrave Court area. Retained because it documents urban fire insurance, assessment, and risk-pooling.
