This is to give notice, that the Art of making Sea-water fresh, the practice whereof was by Act of Parliament granted to William Walcot Esq., the first and true inventor, his executors, administrators, and assigns, for 31 years, was made use of in the voyage to Jamaica, and the whole ship's crew were supplied with fresh water by the practice from the sea-water with little trouble or charge. Particulars may be had at the Jamaica Coffee-House in Cornhill from William Boston, or in his absence from Mr. Robert Wilson, merchant.

Editorial note: Normalized conservatively from a damaged patent notice anchored by the Jamaica Coffee-House line. Mapped conservatively to the Cornhill area in the City of London. Retained as a rare Gazette witness to patented maritime provisioning technology.
